HONOLULU — HMSA donated $154,000 to R.E.A.C.H. Out Hawaii for its commitment to Hawaii’s youth. Since 2015, the Office of Lieutenant Governor, R.E.A.C.H. Out Hawaii, and HMSA have partnered together to bring Soccer for Success, the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s free after-school program to Hawaii. With this generous commitment from HMSA, the program is set to expand from 3 Oahu schools to 5 Oahu schools and 7 Maui middle schools in 2017.
R.E.A.C.H. Out Hawaii, a nonprofit corporation, was formed for the purpose of supporting the State’s R.E.A.C.H. after-school initiative for middle and intermediate schools. The Board of Directors are responsible for the oversight and strategic planning, including the development of a funding base for R.E.A.C.H. Out Hawaii.
