Lt. Governor SpeakingHonolulu — Lt. Governor Shan Tsutsui delivered remarks to students in grades 9 through 12 at Maui’s Construction Career Day.  The students, from Maui, Molokai, and Lanai, were introduced to the multi-faceted construction industry and the many job opportunities available, from contractors to consultants. This event offered students the opportunity to operate heavy equipment, participate in hands-on activities and view educational displays.  “Everywhere you look around – whether it’s roads and highways you’ve driven on, the schools you’ve attended, or the home you live in — the construction industry has had a hand in its planning and development,” said Tsutsui. “From consultants to construction workers, from engineers to electricians – they all had a part in the job, from start to finish.”
