Lt. Governor Tsutsui Addresses to Soon-To-Be High School Freshmen

CampUS lg & dawnHONOLULU – Lieutenant Governor Shan Tsutsui addressed about 100 students entering their freshman year in high school.   Reflecting on his freshman year at Maui High School, he offered students some words of advice about how to smoothly transition into high school.

The students are part of the 4th Annual CampUs Hawaii, which is taking place at the University of Hawaii-Manoa.  The program revolves around high school transition, college and career readiness.  Approximately 100 Afterschool All-Stars from eight of Oahu’s middle schools (Waianae, Nanakuli, Jarrett, Washington, Central, Dole, Kalakaua, King) have been selected to participate in the three day, two night camp.

After-School All-Stars (ASAS) provides comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life.
