Lt. Governor Supports the Importance of Literacy

Shan Tsutsui helped celebrate Dr. Seuss’s 110th birthday by reading “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Suess to students at Princess Nahienaena Elementary School in Lahaina, Maui.  It was part of the Read Across America program.  The lt. governor spoke before a packed cafeteria. 

On Oahu, the Lt. Governor read to sixth graders at Keone`ula Elementary School for their Community Literacy and Career Sharing Day.  Along with reading a book, he answered questions about his job and government.
