Lt. Governor Shan Tsutsui Congratulates New Americans

Honolulu – Ninety-seven new Americans from 28 different countries stood proud as they officially became new Americans.  Lieutenant Governor ShanTsutsui delivered remarks after they took the Oath of Allegiance at the Naturalization Ceremony held at the USS Missouri.

“For all of you, the American dream is within reach and I encourage all of you to take advantage of the opportunities that this great nation has to offer,” said Lieutenant Governor Shan Tsutsui.

The Honorable J. Michael Seabright, U.S. District Judge, presided over the ceremony.

The event commemorates Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, when hundreds of immigrants across the nation become American citizens.LG handshake Oath of Allegiance
