HONOLULU – Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui served as one of the honorary speakers at the Summit for Afterschool and Out-of-School Partners held at Central Union Church. The Lt. Governor spoke about the important role after-school programs play in helping to keep children on the right track towards successful outcomes and his R.E.A.C.H. Initiative.
The Summit was organized by Kahoomiki, in collaboration with a group of community partners: After-School All-Stars, FACE Hawaii, Hawaii Department of Education, Hawaii P-20, University of Hawaii, Hee Coalition Hui for Excellence in Education, HYSN Hawaii Youth Services Network, Kamaaina Kids, Lt. Governor’s Office, Mission House, Moiliili Community Center, PALS/PLACES Student Equity Excellence and Diversity, University of Hawaii and YMCA of Honolulu.
